History:
Lily Potter was the second child born to muggle parents and younger sister to Petunia Dursley (nee Evans). She was born January 30, 1960. Lily grew up near Spinner's End and met Severus Snape at about eight or nine and he let her know that she was a witch and could go to Hogwarts. She and Petunia were close until the rift caused by the fact that Lily could go to Hogwarts whilst Petunia was not allowed. Snape became Lily's best friend and she stayed friends with him until their fifth year where she decided that his fascination with the Dark Arts was too much. He called her a Mudblood in front of people (in the Pensieve scene Harry sees of Lily, Snape, and the Marauders). That was the breaking straw of their friendship. James Potter was head over heels for Lily, but she was quite displeased with the way he handled himself. After he toned himself down a bit with the jinxes, Lily and he began dating in their seventh year. She was Head Girl, and a prefect as well.
After finishing Hogwarts, Lily, along with James, Sirius, Remus and Pettigrew, joined the Order of the Phoenix. Lily and James defied Voldemort himself three times and escaped narrowly each time. They married in the summer of 79. The prophecy heard in the fall of 79 foretold the birth of the baby who would be Voldemort's downfall. After Lily became pregnant, she and James went into hiding and had Harry. Lily and James lived in hiding until October 31, 1981 when Voldemort came to their house, guarded by the Fidelius Charm which Voldemort had broken via Pettigrew's betrayal. James died first and Lily jumped in front of her son, giving her life for his when Voldemort even told her that she need not die. Her protection lived on and saved her son, unknown to her.

How Others Perceive Your Character: Most retrospectively view Lily as loving, caring, a great woman who sacrificed herself for her son.
Beliefs, Convictions, Morals: Lily believes in what's good, and what's right. She's staunchly against voldemort and believes that people are not worth less because of blood purity
Reason(s) for Escaping to Canada: Well, she died. So it was unintentional :)

I'm not sure where I am or what happened at all. The last thing I recall was jumping in front of Harry, an extreme amount of pain in a short amount of time, and I open my eyes, and I'm here. Sitting in the middle of this green park. It's sunny, which is not precisely how I imagined the afterlife, if it exists to be. But I suppose that there must be an afterlife, seeing as how I'm here. I wonder where James is. If I'm here, he ought to be, right? Hm...death is much more complicated than life. Although...I wonder if time is proportionately the same here. And how long it'll take everyone from my life to get here. I suppose I should be early on. Much as I want to see Harry, if this is the afterlife, I'd rather him be appropriately within the actual world, living his life. Sirius should take care of him fine. He'll be spoiled rotten. Maybe even more with Sirius than he was with us. I wish I could have been there for him. I did everything I could.
Now, I suppose all to do is check what's around. What is around in the afterlife...

Lily apparated outside the grounds of the cemetery. It was a bleak February day. The same day that she visited this cemetery every year. She walked up to the grave and put the flowers on the tombstone, kneeling down.
Wiping a tear from her eye, she opened her mouth to speak when she heard a familiar shrill voice shouting. "What are you doing here? How dare you!"
Lily turned around to see her sister glaring at her. "Tuney," she started but it wasn't long until her sister cut her off.
"No, Lily. Do not Tuney me. You have no right to be here."
"She was my mother, too," the redhead said with a fire in her voice.
"Were you there when she died? Where were you? At your stupid little freak school, with your stupid little freak boyfriend who became your freak of a husband. You do not get to mourn her."
Lily exercised a supreme amount of self control and left the cemetery to mourn her mum in peace. Away from the antagonism of her elder sister. She was not in the mood for a fight. Not today.
